Do I have to wear scrubs?
Yes, it is a requirement to follow OSHA guidelines. ALL students must wear a lab coat, mask, and uniform scrubs, top and bottom (no t-shirts or jeans are accepted) and tennis shoes (dress shoes are not acceptable) to attend class, NO exceptions. If requirements are not followed you will be rescheduled for a following date.
In this complete course you will be given an Intro to Digital Cad/Cam Technology, enter case data into the Cad/Cam system, create the type of restoration to be displayed after scanning, review of basic scanning and design protocol, use of materials, antagonist scanning, axis finder for path of insertion, mark margins & design a full contour crown. Using designing tools, such as : Form, Wax Drop, Scaling, and Positioning & Rotation. You will then mill, stain & glaze your designed crown to take with you upon completion. You will also learn advanced designing techniques, including: correlation, replication, quadrant restoration and reduced down crown design. It will also include MOD inlay, anterior & posterior bridge design.
COURSE COMPLETION
All courses must be completed within 30 days of the start date. This includes all required documents and a copy of a valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS CPR card only. Extension fee will apply on day 31. Courses not completed on time are subject to an extension fee.
No Previous Dental Experience is required for this course
COURSE LENGTH
This course will be 4 weeks (1 month). Call for the complete course schedule. Students will complete and take home a finished crown. Upon completion of the Course each student will receive a Certificate of Completion.
COURSE SUBJECTS
*All students must be at least 16 years of age.
*This course requires a valid CPR card issued by either American Heart Association BLS or Red Cross BLS. The Dental Board is very strict, so no other cards will be accepted. If you like you may add the CPR course into your cart. Pick the same Saturday you chose for your CAD/CAM Course. Here is a link to purchase: CPR/AED Training Course. If you already have a valid CPR, bring in a prepared copy of the card when you attend class.
Note: Dates in ORANGE are evening classes. Evening classes are from 5PM to 10PM.

This Course will Be held on Saturdays & Sundays from 9am to 5pm for 4 weeks (1month).
Special time accommodations may be an option for evening or weekday training.
Upon completion of the course, each student will receive all Certifications approved by the Dental Board of California. All certifications given are required to be able to work immediately within a dental office now and to move forward (in 15 months) with your RDA application.

CDC is located in Downtown San Diego and although we do not provide parking for students attending our courses CDC is surrounded by plenty of locations for parking to fit any budget. When attending class on a Sunday all street and meter parking as long as you arrive early are free to find a place to park.
Doors open at 9am and classes begin by 9:15 am. Students who arrive late will be rescheduled to attend class the following week.
All walk in students are welcomed if class space is available. No additional registration fee or cost will be due. Please come join us!
If you think you are pregnant or may be pregnant prior to registration or attending any scheduled classes you must notify California Dental Certifications. Attendance of classes will require the student to provide a medical release from your doctor. Or you may re-schedule for a future class date.
CDC will furnish all supplies required by students. It is the responsibility of each student to meet all program requirements by following OSHA guidelines. Specific courses will require the student to provide Social Security number. Disposable lab coats and protective eyewear will be available.

CDC does not provide patients for students to complete a course and receive certification. Do NOT bring in your required patients on the first day of class. Further instruction regarding patients will be given on your first day of class by your instructor. Due to limited space within our facility waiting room, only students and patients will be allowed in our facility.

*X-Ray students – do not bring your patients in until AFTER instructed to do so by your course instructor.

Any student that does not complete their course within the 30 days will have the opportunity to retake the course at the full fee. No credit will be applied from any previous incomplete course.

The 30 day extention does not apply to:
Pit & Fissure Sealants – 4 patients
*Dentist or a Hygienist may sign off which teeth may have sealants placed.
Coronal Polish – 3 patients
Radiation Safety – 4 patients, these patients can be scheduled on a future Friday at 10:00AM.
*Full mouth series is required for each patient. FMX consists of 18 films.
*Must read all restrictions to assure patient can be used for required X-rays.

Failure to attend class on your scheduled date will result in a forfeit of full tuition (see Cancellation Policy – no show).
Please note a reschedule fee of $100 will apply for the reasons listed below:
The reschedule fee of $100 will be applied for the above reasons. Failure to attend on the scheduled class date without notification of any kind or upon a second reschedule from a student will forfeit entire course enrollment payment. The student will have the opportunity to retake the course at full fee. California Dental Certifications reserves the right to reschedule classes with or without notice and will accommodate a new schedule within a reasonable time.
Attorney’s Fee
Any disputes in excess of $1,000 (or the maximum limit for small claims court) arising out of this Agreement shall be submitted to binding arbitration before the Joint Ethics Committee or a mutually agreed upon Arbitrator pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association (if any disputes occur that cannot be resolved, we’ll try small claims court. If the disputed amount exceeds the small claims court limit, we’ll use an Arbitrator) . The Arbitrator’s award shall be final, and judgment may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. The Client shall pay all arbitration and court costs, reasonable attorney’s fees and legal interest on any award or judgment in favor of CDC. (This is a binding arbitration. You will pay any legal fees if we are awarded judgment).
